It's been a while...

Hello Blog World! It is has been a while. I need to get back to this outlet. Somehow crackbook has kept me away, but I am slowly weening myself from FB and need to start writing here again.

I have lost 9 pounds since Jan. 5th. While not as much as I would like, I am happy with how I feel and proud of myself for working out at the butt crack of dawn every morning. My birthday is the middle of this month, I hope to weigh 175 by then. Only 4 pounds. It is doable.

I still wish that I had gone until nursing. That is until summer gets here. I do not like my job very much. Middle school kids are just so different than they were 10 years ago. Plus, no offense, northern brats are so very different from southern brats. At least southern brats show respect.

Well, I need to get some things done. We had a snow day today and for some reason I need to feel like I got something accomplished today.

Have a good week!

A Great Yankee Tradition

I was just introduced to one of the best, quick sandwhiches evah. I never had a PB and fluff sandwhich down south, but this is a little bit of heaven made quickly.

Recipe
Spread Peanut Butter on one slice of bread and then spread on strawberry jelly
On the other slice of bread, spread on Rasberry fluff
Enjoy.

For all of you moms out there that make lunches for your children, this is really a great alternative to soggy PB & J Snadwhiches. The fluff helps keep the jelly from making the bread soggy during the day.

Very Sad.

Hotness and I are huge Dave Matthews Band fans. Huge. If you haven't already heard, sax player Leroi Moore died unexpectedly today. We saw him play in what would be, one of his last concerts back in June. May peace be with his family.

Daddy Still Got Game

Yesterday, my family and I went to a local hot air balloon festival. It was a free event, so every non-working, non-tax payer, and their 5 million children came with them. The balloons were very pretty, however the company was not. Again, I felt like Jennifer Aniston when standing next to some people.

Hotness even got hit on by some poor soul who was working the carnival. She was dressed up in a pregnant, sponge-Bob get-up, and she had pink baby feet hanging out from the bottom of her stomach, which is just bizarre in itself. This gal tried talking to Hotness several times as we were walking to the festival. She did not care that this CUTE girl was walking beside him with his children. At a crosswalk, this is the conversation I heard while trying to stifle my giggles.

Poor Soul: Are you heading down to the festival?

Hotness: Yeah we are.

PS: Which way are you going?

Hot: Which way are YOU going?

PS: This way

Hot: Oh, that's too bad, we are going this way (Pointing the opposite way) But have a good time.

Way to let her down easy. Daddy still has it going on. I of course, could not pass up on the photo opportunity. Be sure to enlarge the photo to catch those pink feet. WTF?

Oh. My. Goodness.

Look at this man. Boy. Olympic Champion. Whatever title you would like to give him. If anyone wants to purchase this magazine for me, feel free. Love him.

I promise, no more talk about him. Just couldn't resist sharing this photo.

Game On...And not the fun ones.

So I started my diet full force this morning and let me tell ya, its no fun. Hotness has been making full breakfast for us the past couple of weeks (he is a teacher as well so we are home a lot together-love it!), but this morning, I ate oatmeal and cheese and of course, my crack, diet Mt. Dew. Maybe lunch will be more exciting. The birthing hips must go!

Side note- Michael Phelps is awesome. I hope that everyone got to watch history made last night. I got chills!

Enjoy the day!

I Would Do...

Micheal Phelps under the condition that he come to the bedroom wearing the speedo and the goggles and swim cap to keep those ears at bay. Man, he has a smokin' body.

Just saying. I so hope he gets his 8th gold tonight. Go USA!
